As part of Soil Futures Residency Exchange in dec.2022 at RIWAQ Palestine, supported by the British Council.
The project focused on the Rural Jerusalem area and questioned the relationship between the memory of the land, the construction of history and the use of stone and archeology either as a tool of reconstruction or violence.
A first book was produced in the frame of an exhibition that took place in Qalandiya, constructed around an assembly of archive images from RIWAQ’s library, the Pal Archives project (Palestinian museum, Bir Zeit) and the Bir Zeit University library.
Soil Futures Network is a collaboration between five organisations - Arts Catalysts (Sheffield, UK), Riwaq Palestine (Al Bireh, Palestine), SakiyaOrg (Ein Qiniya, Palestine), Struggles for sovereignty (Yogyakarta, Indonesia) and Vessel Art Project (Puglia, Italy).
